OK, so it might have been a slight overreaction from the notorious sleeve-hater (he was shooting 4-for-11 from the field, 0-for-4 from 3-point range, and missed both FT attempts), but it could be a big deal down the line for Adam Silver and the NBA.
Firstly, fans of all 30 franchises haven’t always been complimentary about their teams’ new get-up. And to say the jury’s still out with the players is a slight understatement, with everyone from D-Wade to Kawhi Leonard calling them restrictive.
But by far the biggest problem comes down to customisation. In other words, an army of angry parents, desperately seeking compensation when they see their kid’s brand new Cavs jersey after they tried to ‘do a LeBron’.
